Backup lights

I leave to work early ~4:30 am so I need to see what's behind the truck. In winter it's even worse, especially if it's snowing.
I found these and was wondering if its good price/products

they should be alright. i have also done this to my truck with a set of hobbs lights. they are great, and i'll do it again on my next truck.

not only good for illuminating while backing, but they are nice to have to say 'thanx' to someone behind you, or 'screw you' to someone behind you!!!

check mine out here

I have the Pilot kit from your links. I scrapped the brackets they include for attaching to the receiver as they include zip ties for attachment. I just the light brackets and bolted them directly to the bottom of the bumper.

It works well and throws a lot of light, just make sure you power them from the battery. If you just tap the reverse light circuit for power, you won't get full benefit of the lights.

Hey Siver R/T....I have the White Nights. I live in Newman Lake and back-up into complete darkness about 200'. They have a toggle on the housing for "On/Off/Auto" Auto triggers them with the Reverse gear. I could not be happier.

You bet! I got relocation bracket and adapter plug so the install was plug-n-play. I also selected the center mount so that I can pop-off the cover and hitch a trailer right on up. The toggle switch is nice in that you can turn them on with the truck off or leave in auto so they come on only when in reverse. Their kinda light weight (plastic housing) but well worth the money. I also added a bead of silicone and snapped the assembly together to help keep them dry and clean with our wonderful winter roads here in Spokane

Part # 4199 Fixed Mount Light Unit; Part # 4151 7-Pin trailer wiring plug relocation plate and Part # 4149 PLUG N GO adapter. $ 114.00 from the vendor site all together but they spot light everything when I back up all the way out to the road (including the deer). And the 7-pin is in a great location to plug up. If I did it differently I would run a 3-way toggle in the cab and used 12ga AWG from the battery, the plug-n-go and has everything done in an hour though

I have a switch in the cab connected to the auto wire and use it for guys with there high beams on following to close. They give great light for backing up. Had mine now for 3 years and love them.I used the heavy wire to my 7-pin for power because it is already a 15 am circuit for fiver power.that way I saved a few dollars on wire and the extra plug. I had they about a year and one lens fell off , a call to White Night and they replaced both lenses (free). seems they had a glue issue and sent me new replacements. I only installed one lense and will keep the other for a spare. They are great to deal with.

Just higher wattage bulbs instead of the stock ones are enough for me.
Problem is they can melt the tail light housing if you leave them on for long periods.
Since I rarely back up for more than 15 seconds no big deal.
Got them from JC Whitney, looked but never found them at any auto parts stores.

Check out Retro-Solutions.com. They have some high powered LED bulbs that replace the stock bulbs. I put some in my back up lights and the cargo lights. They put out a lot more light, and being LED shouldn't gety hot.
