B&D turbo question

I have a BD single turbo. Every one says I should be getting 45lb of boost out of it, I am only gett 32lb. I adjusted the waste gate, pulled the inner cooler out to check the flow. Any other sugestions?

The turbo is capable of 45psi definitely, but you have to have the fueling to get it there. The more fuel you are putting into the engine, the more exhaust you create. The more exhaust you create the faster the turbo spins, creating more boost. An easy rule of thumb to go by (and this is a loose rule) is for every 10hp you should have about 1psi of boost. So with your truck you aren't that far off from where that rule puts you. You can take a pair of vice grips and pinch off the blue hose going to the wastegate on that turbo. Take it out and see how much boost it will build. If you do build more than 32psi, then you will need to shorten the actuator shaft some more. If you don't see any more boost, then that is most likely all you will build until you go to a bigger injector.

There is nothing wrong with the injectors you have. Are you looking for more power? If you are then you can go to either 100hp or maybe even 125hp. If you are happy with the hp you have then there is no reason to change.
