I'm considering adding an aux fuel tank to my truck and am looking for Ideas. I would like to add one above the spare tire like the old fords had, should be able to pick 0ne up at the wreckers pretty cheep too. Has anyone done this or have any low cost options, I haul a slide in camper so I need to keep the bed space. It also looks like I could move the exhaust to outside the frame and install another stock tank?? thoughts.

 

There are a couple of companies that make tanks for the spare tire area. I agree with the concept of the tank where the exaust is, should work just fine but you will lose about 4 inches clearance where the pipe goes under the frame.
