Talking attn'''' electric and smarty gurus'''''

i know this has been asked and ive searched and never found a definite answer,im no electric tech so please corect me if im wrong,if a wire taping box sends a special pulse to the vp to trick it into opening longer than why cant a tuner like a smarty send a special pulse signal to the wire via the original path?and trick the vp?just alter the original signal to the same as a wire taping box, sounds simple to me but there must be a reason why its not done, the ecm signal tells the vp what to do so alter the signal to stay open longer, explain to me like im 3 years old why this plan wont work,it sounds like a good plan though

The way that I understand it is like this. The controller in the vp44 will only "allow" enough fuel and timing for about 65hp. But when we tap the wire it is actually after the controller on the VP, so it no longer has control over the extra fuel.

I think of it in terms of overclocking myself. The ecm can only ask for 100% fuel, but the wire tap overclocks the pump so 100% can become 110 or whatever.
