Attention! Trucks With Leveling Kits

I am trying to decide on doing a leveling kit and going with 35's/315's, or going with 33's without the leveling kit. I want to know where your axle is at, is it centered in the wheelwell? Any rubbing with 315's? Any unforseen obstacles? Thanks, and ***Pictures are encouraged***

Thanks

I had 2 inch leveling kit.

315/75R16 tires mounted on 16x10 rims with 4.5" backspacing.

Rubbed on the rear inside of the fender, I guess that would be the "metal body panel"
While turning, about halfway to full lock.
(still had about 3/4's steering wheel turn till lock)

Axle was about a half inch towards the passenger side.
Looked to be centered just about perfect from the side view.

I have a side view in my album, page 2.

Narrower rims, or more backspacing would have cured my rub, but transferred it to the control (or trailing) arms.

305/85 16's (36x12) on 16x7's with less than stock backspacing, not sure how much. Rubs on the back of the plastic fender liner about halfway through the turn.

This picture shows how the less backspacing moves the tire out.

Also, one more thing- Does anybody do any towing with the 315's or 35 inch tires? How is the angle, and how big of drop hitch do you have? Thanks again!

i have put a 3 inch spacer in the front coil and a 1 inch block in the rear, i have a 6 inch drop, it works pretty good for normal trailers, but if i'm going to haul a couple cars better put that regular 2 inch drop back on..

I am running a 4.5" "leveling kit". 35" x 12.5" tires, 4.5" of backspacing. I get slight rubbing on the passenger side nerf bar in a hard fight hand turn. Manageable.

I have towed a 18' enclosed trailer with 2 ATV/s. Drop hitch I used was too short, like 4 to 5" maybe. If I do much more towing, I am going to get the tape out and find something more suitable.

I have some pics in my gallery.

I'm running 315s on stock 8" rims, and 2" leveling blocks. the tires would rub the factory drag links, so I replaced them with a set for a 3" lift. They are round tubing and 1/2" longer so the front tires are centered in the fender opening again. Tires still just touch at full lock. I'll be making shorter rear blocks the axle this spring so I can get under the 5ver. Haven't towed with the 315s yet.

I believe your 94 will have 7" rims, which would be too narrow for 315s.

Here's a pic with the 315s on

I installed 2 1/2" front springs from skyjacker. They weren't much more than the leveling kit and easier to install. Ride isn't harsh either. With 315's on the stock steel wheels they rub at full lock on the lower control arms But no where else that I have noticed.
