Question ARP Headstud Torque???

Has there been an update on the max torque on these head studs??? What is the highest torque I can give these studs???????

why would you want to? you can go as far as you wnat but at a point your just weaking the actual stud

Yes, a good bit higher. Do a search for an article penned by Don M, and read the research he did on a set of ARP head bolts.

122ft-lbs with ARP moly lube, 130ft-lbs if you use just oil or some other lubricant.

when i did my final re-torque i actually went to 128ft-lbs with the moly lube and its holding great.

You can go higher but its not adviseable.... The washers start crushing at around 122# with the ARP lube.

I was wondering because I seemed to have lifted my head the other day while boosting hard! All of the sudden, my coolant tank spewed gylcol all over my engine and it must have got a big air bubble in the system. The heater would only blow cold air until I topped it up and ran the bubbles out! I'm guessing that's the problem. It is a new engine and the machine shop decked both the head and block. I have no other guesses as to why the glycol tank unloaded the glycol all over my engine so I thought I might try and tighten my head studs somemore...
