Anyone running SDX's 12mm Pump?

Hey guys,
Looking to get a new injection pump for my truck (#1 has a half-miss, narrowed it down to the pump). I came across SDX's 12mm P-7100 and wondered if anyone around here is running that one? I can't seem to find anything about that one. It seems cheap for the mods listed on their site... Anybody deal with them much for 12v stuff? I called 12 times today and between the injection shop and sales (and left a "call me back" message) so far I've talked to exactly nobody.... How do ya get a hold of these guys? I just love the price along with the 550cc fuel delivery and the pre-installed 4k springs...

Anyone know what they all do to it to get 550cc of fuel? Seems like a lot of fuel.
Thanks,

Pretty much any dodge p-pump is capable of that flow, depending on delivery valve selection. Racked barrels and you're there. SDX does good work, but I believe one of the main guys departed and they are playing catch up. I know Weston posted something to that effect a month or two back on Comp D.

Thanks Tate. What does "racked barrels" mean? I've come across that term before but I have no idea what it means?

Turning them for maximum output. The tops are slotted, so they can be rotated in the pump body.

Lots of guys turn them themselves, and they don't go nuclear. Would it be better to have a shop do it so it is all even between cylinders? Absolutely. But there are lots of DIYers out there.

Local shop wants $300 to calibrate a P-7100. I know you're not supposed to, but I did turn my #1 a little already. It runs quite a bit better now, but it surely is no fix.

So nobody's running an SDX pump? I might wind up being the first.

I have own a SDX 13mm race pumps 850-900cc of fueling, custom cam, 6k haisley. I still haven't run it yet. My pump is alot for a daily driver. I'm still building a motor for the pump.

Usually SDX gets Seth at Diesel Performance Engineerings to do all of their pump rebuilds.

We have racked out a few pumps with no nuclear events yet. I would just follow Tate's suggestions. The fuel benching is just so you can balance out the pump and get a fancy piece of paper

So when you guys rack the barrels yourselves, do you use a heat gun on the exhaust manifold to "calibrate" the barrels? Or how do you get them close? When I turned my #1, I just did it by feel and hearing as the temp was very close with the others.... But to do all 6 like that..... I duno....

Yep, I'm all ears as well. I am just repeating what I have heard, and have seen 1 botched barrel job..... How would we go about tweaking them?
