Boost Gauge Installation

So finally getting around to installing my boost gauge, couple of questions...

So I got the 1/8npt boost bolt, does it matter with 10mm bolt I take out of the intake horn? I have been told to use the ones closet to the valve cover.

Since there is only one power wire going to this gauge for the lighting and I would like to have it dim with the dimmer like my pyro gauge...So with that is the light on the gauge enough of a draw that I should not just tap in the the pyro lighting wire? or should I just run it off to the ash tray as to not have all the load on the dimmer switch?

I went with the closest bolt, and taped the cig. light to get the dimmer function.

I ended up using a fuse tap and piggy backed off the illumination fuse to get the dimmer to work. I did not want to splice the wire again as thats what I did when I installed the pyro.

You'll be fine tapping into the same dimmer wire as your pyro.

Done and did,was easier than trying to reinvent the wheel and add a bunch more wires to the pillar. My next quest is to find a better dual pod a pillar setup I hate the over lays with a passion.
