I just use whoever's got [glow=orange, 2, 300]orange[/glow] antifreeze. I like the color. ;D
Everybody's got [glow=green, 2, 300]green[/glow].
As far as I know, brand doesn't really matter, as long as covers the expected temperature range you'll be running it in.

Chris

I got mine at the Cummins store. Fleetguard. 50/50 mix. No messing with water.

Re:Antifreeze/Coolant....

Rotella also makes a premix for our engines. You really just need to make sure it is silicate free so check the bottles that cuts the choices by half or more.

Re:Antifreeze/Coolant....

I use Rotella ELC (Extended Life Coolant) pre-mix. It is supposedly good for 600,000 miles with an extender added at 300k.

I 2nd that opinion.

Why mess around with others that might be more harm than good for our engines.
Get the stuff made by Cummins for the Cummins.
(ya, ya, ya, it's more expensive, but so is the engine)

Re:Antifreeze/Coolant....

One thing to watch is that newer gasoline engines are mostly aluminum where the heavier duty engines have more cast iron. Two different coolant types are necessary.
