Another Injector Question
Another Injector Question
I have read threads mentining different stages of injectors, as well as "Jammers."
What are Jammers, and what purpose do they serve?
What is the difference between Jammers and regular injectors?
Thanks

Jammers are available in just the replacement nozzles or you can buy a complete set of whole injectors. I went with just the nozzles in my stock bodies and I think they are worth the money. This way I can decide if I need bigger sticks and kind of know what to expect now out of other items.
Injectors actually consist of a couple pieces when completely dismantled. The nozzle is the part most people are referring to when they are buying a Jammers and such.
You can either buy completely assembled injectors with a modified nozzle, or buy just the nozzles and have them assembled locally.

Cool...What has the most popular size people are upgrading to without going too radical? I haven't done anything to my truck except upgrade the exhaust. It came with the VanAaken (which I'm still not real familiar with as it's a discontinued model). I've talked to a few people who run the RV275's and they seem happy with them.
I dunno what's most popular.
But I'd say a Mach 2 (105hp) is plenty aggressive to give noticeable power increases while still delivering low smoke and good mpg.
The only complaint against RV275s is that some people want more power. But there's really no negatives with them, and they are about the safest bet around for mpg, low cost, and good performance. You also won't have major EGT issues with the 275s.
Depending on your truck usage, you could go anywhere from a mild 275 all the way to almost a Mach 4 with your stock turbo.
I have the latter and get away with it because I don't tow or load my truck heavily.
