I have finally gotten my new bumper from CoilFab (AWSOME PRODUCT BTW!!!) but lost my running lights. I am going to put a set of Hella driving lights on and want to run them from the original switch. Can the stock switch run the Hellas or do I need to run them through a relay?? They are the FF50 set.

run a realy off of the running lights. and don't forget to still use a switch on the lights some state will not allow you to run fog lights unless inclamate weather. you didn't state you wanted a switch other than the head light switch. and the lights will then only turn on with the running lights so in real heavy fog you olny turn them on not your head lights. thats just how i did mime just tying to help cole

 

I see what you mean. What I was going to do was wire them into the existing fog light harness where the lights in my bumper used to be. That way when I pull out my head light switch the new driving lights would come on. I was just trying to eliminate another switch in the cab and the wiring that goes along with it

Just use the factory fog lamp wiring to trigger your relay.
