Hey don't look at me-- my truck is 650 miles away and will be for a couple years
Hohn,
I would be glad to take it off of your hands and make it a single turbo 600+hp power house sled puller....Of course I would take it back to stock when your ready for it again in a couple of years...

Look at this way..at least you'll get to see it on video (from anywhere in the world) in action when the sparks are flying off of the Iron Giant!!

Let me know!!

Ok, yes it was a 10 mm and I had one....don't know how I missed it. I heard capacity was 2 qts of ATF+4. I put 2 qts in but no flow out. Anyone else know a capacity? Owners manual just said fill until you see in top fill plug. I didn't have a light nor anymore ATF so I figured I'd better ask to make sure I got enough in there.

Ha!

My Dad's driving for the next couple years to keep everything nice and lubed up. He drives pretty sedately, even with Smarty on 9.

Needless to say, this is quite a different driving experience over the 1986 Plymouth Horizon (2.2 in da house) he's been driving for 10 years Seeing as how my truck has about 10 times the tq output of his car, he's pretty impressed.

The last time he drove a diesel, it was the early-80s Rabbit he loved so much (and it had like 50hp). Diesels have come just a little bit since then

I'd like to see my truck with 600hp! With an HO pump and M4s, that would be remarkable. Could you do it keeping this pump and injectors? I think a little nitrous could probably pull it off, personally....

Sounds right... I remember needing 3 qts, but can't recall if it used all of the third!

Is the correct fluid ATF+4 to use in the transer case? And what do you use in the tranny (6 speed) still has stock fluid just a little low?

ATF any number will work in the t case.
Syncromesh Pennzoil (autozone), Redline MTL for the NV5600 6 speed.

Yes, the Redline MTL works great in the NV5600. Shifts much better for me than the Amsoil I did have in there.

My memory lets me down again.... or do HO's come with a HD transfer case. My SO does not!

EDIT: You got me curious so I looked it up in my Service Manual.
NV241 takes 4.61 pts..... little over 2 qts. (memory intact )
NV241 HD takes 6.51 pts... little over 3 qts.

Thank you for looking that up Rowland. Looks like I'll go get another quart and try and top it off. I've got the 241D HD. It took all 3 I put in it.
