help with mods
I've been reading about free mods for my 95 and I know my truck had some work done to it before I bought it but not sure what. So after reading some tips I decided to do some digging and this is what I found. I already knew I had a K&N filt. and piller pod with pyro boost and trans temp. Pyro reads 1200+ at full load and boost is at 35 full load. The truck shifts pretty early, about 2600.at wot. So I pulled the fuel plate out it's a #6 mounted at center, the star wheel seems to be in the middle position, and I cannot find the gov. spring location to check for mods. It seems everyone knows where this is but me. Also how for should I spin the star wheel and what way. Any help please, thanks.

govenor springs are located in the injection pump. you can easily tell if they were changed or not by reving the engine. on a stock truck it will rev to about 2500 rpms. if you can pass that to about 3k or 3200 or so, then they were changed or the gwsk was performed. (govenor washer spring kit)the starwheel controls when boost is allowed i believe.. boost is allower sooner if it is spun away from the engine and later if turned towrd the engine. Basically it allows more or less smoke.....

I can get 1300 if I'm on real hard with my trailer. I know the truck had work done before me, but not sure what. It has always smoked alot af black when I'm on it. and absolutely out performs my dads 94 3500. I've had it for 3 years and and drive alot, 90% pulling time. it's never changed a bit. 75- 80 mph is 700 -800* . I figured out the gov. spring and put the washers in and it helped with rpms. I slid the #6 plate forward and the housing. didn't notice anymore power then I backed off the star wheel all the way. same amount of smoke more bottom end power though.
