Airtex pumps?

So you guys out there running the new Airtex design pump (E7153), how are they working for ya??

I've seen a few Psi #'s on one of the other posts, just looking for an update before I order mine. I think for the money, it looks like a pretty good set up I'm going to make my own relocation setup and eliminate the Banjo fittings as well as keep my old carter for a spare......

just wondering how these pumps are holding up?

Everyone seems to really be like it for the ease of replacing the stock pump. They have not been out really long enough to find out long term if they will last.

I replaced my stock carter with one. It seems to be working great. It's putting out 19-20 psi at idle. I've never had an issue in the 4 months it's been on there.

If you make your own big line kit and eliminate the banjos you'll still need to buy the adapter for the Airtex. You can get it here www.vulcanperformance.com and it'll work like a charm. I have an Airtex rigged up ready to go, I'm just waiting on my LASTCarter to fail.

Check out my gallery and you can see what it looks like ready to go.

I ordered the Airtex and adapter kit from diesel distributors......adapter kit was a bit more $, but I had to order the pump aswell (vulcan doesn't have the pumps) and have it shipped to Canada so 1 box, 1 shipment and that way I am guaranteed the new airtex and not the carter replacement. I thought if I ordered from O'reillys I might end up with the old carter. I couldn't find the Airtex brand in Canada and it was cheaper @ dd than O'reilys anyways. but ya, thanks for the info guys!!!

Hamilton, just an idea but, I am taking the old carter out and keeping it with me as a spare incase I have trouble out in the bush somewhere with the Airtex..........
