Question Airdog 100 install

I've been doing a lot research on how to install the best way. I think I have it pretty well figured out. I downloaded the install manual to look it over before I get my airdog on Tuesday. I finally figured out (after a lot of searching and rereading threads) that I shouldn't have any 1/4 tank issues like guys using draw straws.

So, the only question I have is do I need a specific torque for the fittings on the vp44 and the airdog itself or just hand tighten and snug down good?

Thanks,
Zack

I recently installed a airdog 100 and vulcan drawstraw V and have no 1/4 tank issues, I had to go that route since i had the intank pump.
Make sure you use a hydraulic thread sealant (comes in a tooth paste style container) on all the threaded fittings, then you will have next to no chance of any leaks.

I think most of the problems with the drawstraw is in newer trucks. I also know that not all trucks will have the problem, but I haven't found any threads that mention that hooking it to the stock sender causes any 1/4 issues. I don't plan on doing any major mods, I like my truck the way it is and don't do any major hauling so the fp100 will more than fit my needs.

Did you torque the fitting in the vp44 or did you just snug it down with thread sealant?

Thanks

Just tighten the fittings down, not too tight, they will break. Do not use thread sealant. That's what the washer is for, plus you don't want sealant getting into the pump or injectors.
You'll be fine with the AD100, it's what i have and no problems.
