Air Ride Seats

Had contacted National Seating who has been offering air ride seats for Ford And Chevy trucks for the past few years that i know of (maybe longer), on and off for the past year or better trying to get an air ride seat for my 01 Dodge.
They had told me each time I called that the seat was on the drawing board and would be available soon.I called again a couple days ago to check and was exited when they said they will be available next week. Followed by "for 03's and up."
Well , have decided that in order to get it done I am going to have to do it myself. I have some top quality metal fabricators working in my shop so will be putting the wheels in motion in the next couple weeks.
My plan is to make an air base that will bolt to the holes presenty used to attach my seat regulator to my existing seat and floor mounts.
If this should generate enough outside interest , i will run an ad and offer the system thru DTR

Moderator--i intended this to be in the "other" forum---somehow i got it in the wrong spot and don't know how to move it ?

If I recall the issue with the 01's and maybe other years as well was the seat belt in the seat and not on the b pillar. There is one manufacturer that makes one for the dodges but it only works on the trucks with the seat belt mounted to the b pillar (pre quad cab). I know some said the heck with the seat belt but I am not willing to be without it/them. Will your design solve that problem? If so please keep posting on the progress.

Well after rereading your post I see you are going to reuse the stock seats so that problem is solved. I may be interested.

seems using stock seats is a good way to go. no problems matching fabric to rest of interior and seat belt problem taken care of. I have already lifted my seat cushion covers and put a piece of carpet on the springs followed with a piece of 2" foam then set the original foam and cover back on top of it, 10 minutes 3.00 . Made a big difference.

A Bostrom 610 air seat frame work is very short they came in old Auto cars and the European Freightliner did a lot work with them it also came in GMC Brigader. hope you come up with something .I was thinking of using them in my truck.
