Aftermarket Turbo Boot Kits???

Well I blew the turbo boot closest to the intercooler on the passenger/turbo side a few days ago on my '96 2500 5spd 4x4. Has a pretty big tear from rubbing against the metal that's right there. The tear's about 2 or 3 fingers wide (yeah, I stuck my fingers in there lol). It's still drivable, it just has no bawls, makes a very loud and annoying whistling noise heard above the already loud turbo whistle, and it's killing my mileage.

Anyhoo, I moseyed on down to my not-so-local ***********, and asked em how much for the thingamajigger. They quoted me $140.29 (w/ tax. p/n 5202-7990-ab) for a single boot! $140.29!! And that's with the "discount" they'll give me for wearing my old mechanic shop's shirt that's some kind of registered wholesale buyer from them...

Now, I could have sworn I've heard somewhere that somebody makes aftermarket boot kits that can be had for $60 or so, for ALL 4 boots... Cause $140.29 is just astronomical for a single rubber boot that's only about 8" long and 3" wide with a 45* bend in it don't yall think? I could see paying that much for all 4 boots WITH new clamps, but not for a single boot...

Does anyone have any idea where I can find me some aftermarket ones? Hopefully CHEAPER ones? I've tried NAPA, autozone, and advance auto parts, but none of em carried em.

I really caint afford $140 for a single boot after I accidentally made 3 truck payments this morning... Kinda left my wallet on the light side if you know what I mean. On the bright side, I won't have to make another truck payment till November 1st.

See, now thats a good deal.

Still more than I can afford at the moment, haha. Don't happen to know of anyone who sells single boots do ya? My clamps are still good. Sucks being a poor college student...

Couldn't find em anywhere on pier's site... Eh, must be too tired to find it. Their dog gone email is giving me so error code when I try contacting em for some product info and pricing. Aint happen to have a link to em boots do ya? If not, I'll just give em a holler manana on the ol' blow horn.

Also, what'dya mean by "(i dont think these are stockers)"? They won't fit a stock turbo to intercooler setup on a '96?

Scheid diesel sells an entire kit with clamps for 175.00 I think. Very nice system and super heavy duty boots...you get all 4 of them for that price.

So how they work for you 300? Never really heard of that brand, they fill their orders fast, and are their products worth it?

Couldnt tell you yet. My truck is down with what I hope is a blown head gasket. There are quite a few people on here that have them.
There service is great. They have Red, Blue, and Black.
They are also a vendor on the forum.
I measured the 5 ply boots and they measure a 1/4" thick. Alot more than the stockers.
All of the big name brand boots are all silicone, so how bad could they be.
I would recommend them to others.

What size are the inlet's and outlet's where the boots are needed? I would think you could price together a setup cheaper than that. I know you can get hump hoses for cheap. What about the reducer bent hose?
