Sorry about that, but I'm trying to help a friend who didn't know any better when he bought his truck.

My buddy has an '02 7.3 Ford, and he just burned up his auto transmission. I believe he ran it out of oil. Anyway, is anybody familiar with those particular transmissions, and whether or not there are specific weaknesses (like our Dodge trucks have) that should be addressed? If so, which outfit seems to do a good job on the Ford trannies?

I told him that if there were weaknesses, now is the time to spend a little more and have a performance trans built up.
