AFC Mods

Will the stock AFC limit high rpm fuel set about 1/3 back from full forward? I now have a #100 plate set at 1/8" back from full forward. I have not adjusted anything internally on the AFC. I would like to decrease the smoke at lower boost levels but my truck can use more fuel at 35psi boost at the upper rpms.

Thanks, Perry.

I'm not quite sure about this but i do think that even with the fuel plate set at about an 1/8 back The AFC will still limit High Rpm fuel without mods

after 10 psi I think the air fuel control has little to do with anything

Yes, after about 10 psi the afc moves back as far as it can go, however without mods it will stop and the gov. lever will hit the afc and stop before coming into contact with the fuel plate.

I removed the AFC and swapped the washers. The foot will now go full travel and touch the housing. I backed the zero screw out about 3/16" and slid the AFC full forward on the pump. I then tightened the starwheel to control the low boost smoke. The truck feels stronger now, I should have done it sooner.

Now if I can just get my eBay boost controller adjusted correctly.
