advise on boming a 97 12V
OK im looking at picking up a 97 12V 4x4 auto DRW . what parts will i need to install to get it to pull with my 01 24V HO smarty with mach 1.6s
it will be used to pull heavy trailers with a gcvwr in the 28 K area
first will be a built auto tranny. IM looking for 300 hp + and 700 tq +area. needs to have controlable EGTs. is it doable with out twins? whos doing it? thanks

Find a 913 pump and put a #10 plate in it your at 300/700 or
you can work the smaller pump but that will cost some money also
Might want to look at a modified 35/40 for towwing heavy

I haul in the 22 k range with my setup and I can make egts hot on a long steep hill, other than very long steep hills I have had no problems with egts. A built tranny, # 10 plate, maybe some different DV's and bigger injectors and just keep your pump you have will get you well over 300 hp. I know guys that have less hp than that and haul 30,000# dozers every day, my biggest concern would be stopping.

That is usually my concern as well
A tranny and an exhaust brake would also be in order for a tow rig, especially if your gonna go heavy...
Now for a tow monster, all has been said by the others, that is needed to say. No need to repeat here...
