Advice on boxes

Buddy of mine bought a 01 2500 HO yesterday and wants me to fix him up with a fuel box. I'm more proned to workin on the properly valved engines so don't know a whole lot about fuel boxes on the 24 valves. He'll probably put a set of 275's or DD2's in it in the future. I'll take care of gettin gauges in it and air to it and through it.Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

I've had good experiences with edge products. They have good stuff, and back up what they sale. You can go two ways. 1-get an EZ, or 2-get a Comp for more $$ and don't hook up the pump wire. It will run like an EZ, and if you're wanting more power, hook up the wire for more ;D

Re:Advice on boxes

I have a 2001.5 with the HO.
I added a Edge EZ and shortly there after a new clutch from South Bend. Then sense I had a good clutch I installed a set of DDIIs.
Then after I returned from SWA I bought a TST PM3 fueling box thinking that that would give my truck a kick in the pants. It didn't. I do not recommend a fueling box for the HO engines they don't work the same as they do on the non HO motorers.
The EZ box fools the boost controler and adds a small amount of fuel. The DDIIs really made my truck wake up.
Hope this helps.
See Ya
Chris

Re:Advice on boxes

I would rather sell the Edge products. Less product quality problems and less truck related problems caused by the box. They stand behind thier products. Be sure and get him a fuel pressure gauge.

We've found our results to be different. After a couple hundred TST sales, and about twice that many Comp sales, we've had 2 failures on the TST product. The Comp failures have numbered 72, although mostly in colder climates. The EZs are stone cold reliable though.

As far as customer support, TST and Edge are identical in their support of the product. Both companies are quite simply exceptional.

TST is, however, MUCH more willing to build in a custom program for a customer. We like how aggressive the TST Competition box fuels, however the higher power settings also limit this box to Competition modes only. So we've had TST build us a 'towing' program that brings fuel in aggressively, but still maintains the lower peak fueling level of the standard PM3.
