So i need to update my Pulse again? It's a real pain to get it off the stick!
Should i get rid of the updates from the other day and download the newer dated ones?
You have 4.10's, so unless the "22" really bothers you while its in warm up mode, I wouldn't update it until you get ready to pull it back out. The "22" does not affect function, it was just placed there by accident and none of us paid any attention to it as we were looking at function only.

The updates you have, Pulse 1.3.5 and any Adrenaline tune dated 4-2-09 or later will be fine with the 4.10 rear end ratio.

you should come out with some sorta quick disconnect for the pulse.
that way if you need to take it out you dont have so much problem.
Oh boy, how we get spoiled. It was not all that long ago that you had to send stuff back to get it changed. Now we can change things as fast as needed and as requested by customer demand which gives the customer literally 0 downtime and now that is too slow and painful!!!!

Ok, so I will agree. If I would have thought 4 years ago when this platform was designed that we would be doing what we are doing now, I might have thought about a connector back there.

Connectors cause all sorts of issues. Either you have a big nasty hole/connector somewhere on the back (remember we need and easy to insert and remove connector that is positive lock for the vibration) or you have a pigtail. Both of these items make it very difficult in a pillar mount situation. If you do it crudely then you have people complaining about the looks when not installed in a pillar mount.

That is the delima if you are designing from the ground up. Believe me when I say that we have worked on this, even recently.

The real issue is how would we do this with the existing units out there? We would have to somehow cut a whole in the back of the plastics. Then we would have to come up with some way to mount the connector on the pcb.

To me, this is impossible even if I wanted to do it.

Or.

We would need to remove the current wire harness and replace it with a harness that had a connector a certain distance from the back of the display.

This idea is doable, will cost more and will require that the custom send the Pulse in to us, requiring customer downtime.

I am very open to ideas though.

if i have 37s what number will i use on the tire size?
I am not sure at this moment. Also it matters how wide and what the sidewall is. I don't know what either of those are on your truck.

Google a tire circumference calculator and that will probably give you what you need.

im thinking im gonna put a 4 pin? weater pack in the middle of my pulse wire.
that way i dont have to feed it all the way to the engine bay.

i dont mind pulling the wire from the ecu and i got a lap top

but i would like to be able to take my pulse with me when i leave the truck somewhere.

like a valet switch ill jus load a super low hp program w/no timing or fuel so people wont beat on my truck. lol

Buy deutch connectors. You can get them that are the same as what is on the pulse or even a little smaller.

Weatherpacks are fine but, they are big and bulky.

You need a special crimping tool for either of them and that is the only thing that sucks. If you wanted to solder the wires you could get by without crimping them into the pins.

Well i ran the new tune 3000G this morning and not a lot of power very little smoke. Hoping my IP isn't going out on me slowly. I expected more, even on Pl10 hard to make smoke.

I put the deutsch connector on mine. Cut the cable about 6 inches out of the back of the Pulse. Very easy to use. Pulling the connector thru the firewall just plain sucks. The connectors are about 5 buck and about 1/2 hour of your time.
