Adrenaline question

Just got my adrenaline last week. Happy with most of the features & no surging issues. But I swear my comp & smarty pulled harder. My question is what update can I use for more power & the hot unlock code. A small not in the box says not to use any updates dated before 10/9/08 or something along those lines. Guess really what I want is more power update but dont want to end up with the surging issues or lose the mild programs allready in there.

Yeah pulse came in the kit. Dont think their is any custom tuning, cause when I select hot unlock it just goes back to the top of the page

Upload the new comp tune and update your pulse. Then make it as strong as you want

Which tune on quads website is it? the 1000 0r 2000? Also noticed alot of the updates have set parameters such as warm up temp. Does that mean those parameters are no longer adjustable if you your that dwn load?

With the Pulse all you need are the basic 1000 or 2000 or comp tune. Then just set all of your parameters where you want them.

Yes, it is sent with a ADR1006. I do not know when your box was manufactureed so it is best to go download the latest tune from the website. Since you have a Pulse you only need to worry about ADR 1000, 2000 or COMP. You can set all the warm up stuff, high idle, de-fueling and everything else to whatever you want, anytime you want with the Pulse. No need to download a specific tune.

If you are wanting it to pull hard without mesing with it, download the COMP tune and then you can custom tune it from there if needed. The latest Pulse update is also on the web if you do not have the Custom Tuning stuff already. Download v 1.3.2 off the Pulse update page.

Custom tuning was done for free, no need to mess with the Unlock Code. We originally thought we might sell it but, decided to just include it in all the tunes.

Once you get the COMP and v1.3.2 loaded up and you still want more, then check back in and we will walk you through turning it up.

Thanks quad for clearing that up. Only two more "stupid" questions. 1 Does the ADR save the factory tune in it? 2 Is there any need to run the smarty with ADR to turn off TM? Side note Really impressed with the features so far such as warm up & the shutdown. Shutdown is nice to have a degree to go by instead of my old BD cool down timer where you just turned the screw & waited to see when the truck would finally cut off.

The ADR will not save a tune if you reload a new tune via USB. Now once you load a tune and like it but, want to custom tune from there you have multiple options to save it to a tuning profile.

EX.

If you want to save ADR1000 you can do it a couple of ways. You can load it via USB and it will be considered the "factory" profile. If you want to change stuff in custom tuning you can first save the ADR1000 to TUNE1. Then you can make any changes you want. You will then need to save those changes to TUNE2. Then you can flip between your custom tune and ADR1000 antime you want.

The other thing you could do is load ADR1000, make your changes and save them to TUNE1. Then, reload ADR1000 and it will be set as "factory". Then you can switch between Tune 1 and Factory all you want.

Or you could do option 1, then load in yet another tune and it would be in the factory profile. Say you loaded ADR2000 at the end of option 1. You would have ADR2000 as factory, ADR1000 as Tune1 and a custom tune as TUNE2.

Hope that is not too confusing?

As far as TQ mgmt. It is good to get rid of if thats what you need for drag racing or pulling or something. I understand you can remove the Smarty though and the TQ mgmt stays gone??? That is an area I am not familiar with.

I guess in short the only thing deleted tq mgmt will affect is your tranny and tires. From there you have to decide if you want it or not.

Okay.. One more question. Updated the pulse but didnt update the ADR. went to adjust settings & their is allready 2 different tunes in there besides the top one that says factory settings. So my question is do I need to update the ADR with the comp tune as well since I can allready adjusate settings?

Do some looking around in the performance section. I'm sure you'll find almost all the answers you need. Or use the search function.
