adjusting smoke screw

I am gonna slide my stock plate full forward. Then im gonna adjust the governer arm so it hits the tip of the first bump (right now it hits the bottom of the plate.) then im gonna put the starwheel just a little back of full forward (full forward being as far as i can get it to go before its buried.) Lastly, i want to adjust the smoke screw or aneroid valve. I know where its located, but how/where do you do you adjust it? Does this sound like a good combination? to much power for stock auto trans?

Depends on how you drive it. If you like to mash on the pedal I give your tranny less than a month.
I've never had enough results to make it worthwhile playing with the aneroid spring and usually just leave it alone.
