Adjustable lift

Does anyone know of an adjustable lift. I want the truck to ride higher but I also need it to retain a somewhat stock size when towing. I was thinking of some air bags in the back, and I have seen some offroad trucks with an adjustable spacer that fits between the front springs and the spring mount.

How exactly does a lift, such as the kelderman listed above, work? Can you adjust to whatever lift you want or does the ride quality depend on how much air you have in the bags and therfore the higher the lift the rougher it ride?

I am interested in doing some kind of lift like that but have no idea how it works. It would be nice to be able to fit some 37's and then lower the truck in order to fit in the garage.

He may not be around any longer.....

His front lift consisted of an adjustable spacer.....installed under the spring, has threads on it and you can run the spacer in and out to obtain the desired lift.

I have the sellers link on my old computer if I can ever get it running I will post it for you.

Sorry, I cant be more helpful.

You mean like a coilover setup like you would use on a car? I had a h%$@ of a time adjusing the coilovers on my nissan.....I wouldnt even want to think about the headache involved with adjusting them on my Dodge! The kelderman kit is awesome and if I had the money I would have it on my truck. Its an air ride suspension. You can raise it up to 6 inches by hittin the switches. Its a four link setup in the rear, the front gets an airbag similar to the ones you see on big rigs in place of the coil spring. The rear has airbags as well. An onboard air compressor fills a storage tank like your shop or home air compressor. Air lines run to your valves which controls the air flow either into or out of the individual air bags. The bags either inflate to raise the truck or deflate to lower it, the height is controlled by switches mounted in the cab of the truck. Air pressure and ride height is monitored by a gauge also in the cab. The ride is amazing and its also alot of fun to play with. I dont think towing is affected with the kelderman kit, payload or performance. They have a good product. Im sorry if you have dealt with an air suspension before and my explanation was un-needed. If you didnt have a clue how they worked I hope my explanation made sense to you! Good luck with whatever you decide!

Thanks for you explanation. I tried to call kelderman's today but it was after hours. I would like to go with an air ride kit but I think they will be way out of my budget. Do they make a kit for the front that adds only 3 to 5 inches. I have air bages on the back already and pumped all the way up they add about 3 inches.
