Adjustable Boost Elbow

I found one of those adjustable boost elbows on ebay. With what I have done to my rig would I see any performance increase with this gaget or would it be a waste of my money? Is there any mods I can make to the wastegate that will help a little or am I SOL without some sort of programer? I have the factory TQ so I think I am about maxed out for what I can put to it without replacing the TQ. Is this the case?

Will help if your Dr. Performance includes a boost fooler. I don't know that power mod? Without the boost fooler...your truck will just defuel anytime boost exceeds 21-22 psi.

Probable can't add any more than you already have w/o beefing up your tranny! The most a stock tranny can take is about 60 added hp. Sometimes that is to much....depending on your driving style

Well supposedly the stage II Dr. Performance module that I installed adds 85 HP though we all know that those numbers are often inflated. As far as I know the only thing it does is increase fuel pressure.

Now what if I just plug the stock elbow so the waste gate is non-functionable? Any benefits, cons??

that should work as long as your stage II Dr. Performance module has the boost fooler function built in it. if not when you try it your check engine light will come on and it wil start to defuel. what I did to try this out is take a small visegrip along with a small piece of plastic to protect the hose. you have to squeeze the visegrip pretty hard to block off all of the boost or else your boost will go up then go right back to 20 in a few seconds. With my smarty on #9 I can hit 29-31 pretty easy. I sounds cool

hope this helps

Ok so I spoke with Dr. Performance and they have informed me that the module does read off boost. They tell me that the truck will automatically defuel when it hits bout 20-22 psi so I would need some sort of boost fooling mechanism if I want any more ummpf. Can this be done through some sort of flash or am I SOL??
