191 delivery valves
215 injectors
3k spring
rack travel mod
afc modded
and 16* timing

i've seen two trucks do 320-340whp

and they are still driveable

i'll dyno mine in the next few weeks and should be between 325-350whp

Check my signature. 337hp/772tq. She will get a little warm on a wide open run, but it is plenty driveable with a trailer too. I like the setup so far. I know it will run a 14 second quarter. Hopefully a mid 14 sec 1/4, but i cant say for sure since i havent ran it with this setup. Stock turbo with a 16cm exhaust housing, and just the 215 injectors out of a 96 5 speed truck.

I have got to be close to 400. If you want to get some easy fuel out of your injection pump and don't mind a bit of extra heat go with the taper cut DV's from Piers. With my 175 pump and 215 injectors I can have WAY more fuel than the 62/14 turbo and the Con O clutch can handle. I dont even have my plate 1/2 way forwards and I feel like I am near 400. I have it tuned so it dosent smoke to bad around town and is easy to drive in the winter.

what about 370 marine injectors. why dont yall run them? i just so have a 12v 5.9L cummins with a ally in a ottawa yard truck from sams warehouse. i wanna tinker with it then build me a sled puller so i am considering a 0 fuel plate and some 370s along with some other stuff

370's slobber too much IMHO.. Idle haze and a mid rpm band stumble make them less desireable these days. They used to be the only heavy fuel option, but now there are many alternatives. The DDP's I have can smoke out the highway, but still are very smooth at low power levels with little or no smoke.

330-350 is about the limit with the stock turbo and still being toasty. Injectors, plate, turbo and you should be good to go...

I'm gonna run my New Era 370's on the stock turbo, and slap my 18.5cm housing on it when I get a tranny. I wanna see if she'll run 13's on the ol'e HX35 Regular marine 370's arent the best injector for reasons already mentioned. They arent made for out pistons.

check out my sig i drive my truck everyday and its very streetable and on a good 4wd lauch i have even beat a rousch stage 2 and a corvette. 370's are fine to use they are not going to a problem. i have a little smoke at idle when it's a cold day but thats about it. it runs good and it's fast too.

Back when my '95 160 pump/automatic made 370hp with:

Marine 300 inj
#5 plate
181dv
3k springs
HX40 PDR turbo
16* timing
DTT built auto
Smoked very little and EGT's wouldn't get over 1100.

My wife drives this truck everyday, and it has more power added since then (440 now).

new era makes 300, 330, 370 or 435's which are EDM injecters which have the CORRECT spray pattern and still affordable. 370 is more than just a "little bigger" 300's or 330's will help a lot more than 215's but if you can get 215's for free or really cheap than do it. 300's and 330's are under $400 ddp's START above $450

191's with 215 injectors should be good for close to 400hp on a 62/12

My dyno proven setups...

263 rwhp.. banks power pack on a 12 valve with stock timing..

347 rwhp.. 370 injectors, 4K kit, 16.5 degree timing, 100 plate at 2/3 forward and afc at full forward....

450 rwhp... same as above with rips twins... and more rack travel..

553 rwhp. same as above with a few more tweaks and better injectors..
