Well, the stacks are a bit more extreme than a standard exhaust that exits out the back. With stacks the exhaust exit is right above your head, not 9 feet behind you. I am not knocking stacks at all, and I would have a set if I did not have to drive my truck two hours a day on the highway. I think they look, when done right, and sound awesome. They are just not for my daily driver. I was just trying to answer your question in post 27.

The drone of my Ford with a straight piped 4" stack would give me a headache during longer trips.

I never thought I would tire of that exhaust note but eventually I did.

It was a case of being too loud for too long.

Some people just don't understand. Diesels look and sound better with stacks. If you don't like or can't handle the noise you should have bought a honda hybrid or something. Bashing a guys because he is showing off his work (which is great by the way) is stupid because im pretty sure I could look at anybodys truck and point out something that is stupid. so before you Criticize someones work you should appriciate it or your work is gonna get criticized and your gonna be the one crying. But on a good note that 8 inch stack looks great and problably sounds like a true diesel. good job man!!
