47RE help

was just given a BRAND NEW 47RE out of an 03 truck, only has 12k miles on it. my question is will it bolt up to my 99? i no a 47re is a 47re but not sure if all the connections are the same from 99 to 03.

03 were half and half. some had the 47 and some had the 48.

I would think they would be cause I doubt dodge would redesign a transmission that they were getting ready to get rid of.

IIRC there's a change right around 99 or 00 involving the valve body sensor/transducer and maybe the connector. If you have any problems the proper valve body should make it work properly.

Try calling some of the trans guys and see what they say, one of them should be able to give you an answer.

yup the case is different. the neutral saftey switch is completly diff from the 2 so if i was to ever use this tranny for MY truck, only thing i would be able to do is steal the internals

I would be more than happy to test whether or not it will fit! Just ship it to me here at..... I am sure I could find a way to add the necessary wiring and connectors...

ha ha it would work if i wanted it to. i would have to use my 99 valve body as the connection there is diff , and do a little wiring and wamo. i might consider a sell!!!!!!!!!

am in the middle of a drwn-out relocation and pretty much flat broke. I am hoping to save enough for some of Dave Goerends magic parts when I rebuild my 47RE. I need to replave my VP44 first. Sigh. Always something!
