3rd gen turbo on 2nd gen
Is there any benifit to running a turbo off one of the newer trucks on the older 12v?

Yes. The HE351cw is a 60mm compressor wheel. An HX35 is 56mm. The worst part is that you need a new downpipe and you will need to modify your intercooler piping and maybe your oil drain.
