Matt: From what I understand, all parts have machining tolerances and as a result some injectors may flow more or less than another. It is my assumption that they would be flow tested and like injectors that flow the same within a predetermined flow rate would be "matched". After I installed mine someone said those injectors are junk and will wreck your engine due to the fact they are not matched. I contacted the seller and was assured they were in fact matched. I could understand that if one injector flowed more than another, or less, that particular cylinder would not be sharing the same load.

Its kind of like an engine if the cylinders are just a little bit off in size (chamber) they won't be equal. So in a way they aren't balanced so the engine won't run quite as good as it could. The more equal and balanced the better the preformance.

I didn't know the 370's you were running had been opened up. I thought you ran a set of bone stock 370's all this time

On those injectors Piers said he either gained 11 or 13 HP over stock 370's..........I did 670 with stock 370's and my little Twins and no water.

i still think there is no better injector for the money than a set of 370's. i have been running a set i got from piers for over 50k, i get better miliage than stock, and i have plenty of fuel. but it will gag you if you back up to a trailer and hook it up with the motor running.

Hear that ! Runs great, better mileage. Between me and my three neighbors we have three CTDs within 100 yards of each other. My 97, my brothers 01, and an 04. Wife named them all ! The 01 is "NOISY DIESEL", the 03 is "SNEAKY DIESEL" and of course mine is "STINKY DIESEL". Does not smell nearly as bad when its warm though ! LOVE THOSE 370s !

My understanding is that the "factory" bosch 370 injectors are within 5% of each other and the match sets are within 1-2% depending on where you get them from. I bought the "factory" 370's and love them. I don't have a smoke issue, (ok if i lug it or floor it off boost it will smoke). Keep in mind with the "factory" injectors you may get lucky and get a set that will be as good as the match sets, but you may not.

I don't have that problem anymore with the miter cut stacks exiting ~4" above the cab

Just ordered some middle of the road EDM's for a customer's 12V so in a few weeks I should have some good data but it's going to be interesting as he hasn't decided on air yet so it will be a 180 pump setup mild with the injectors, a stock 35 with a 21 and the snowperformance water system it already has, it should be a good head to head match against another high hp stock turbo'd truck I have in OKC.....more to come!

I'm getting ready to leave in 1/2 hour to go dyno my truck at Waynes dyno in jacksonville N.C. There should be a bunch of members there! All the info about this weekends dyno+drags are here on the site. I'll let everyone know tonight how my truck did.

Jim let me know how your customer's truck does

everyone-

I did alright the other day as you more then likey already know from the other thread 288/669 its ok but I think I can do better. If any one has a set of 215s 300s 370s or something else they want to get rid of (resonable) let me know because I want to dyno all the different injectors I can get a hold of in my truck to see what does what. I will post all the numbers on this site to help the members deside on which way to go with their bombs.

I'd try the 215's( if you can get them) or the 370's for power and the 370s' are real hard to beat..........if you want to go to a bigger(cleaner) injector at twice the price then EDM's are the way, if you want to cut cost a bit then go to a honed 370 as there are 4 stages, not quite as clean but the power is there, it's all about the money you want to spend................(Air) how much do you want to spend.....same deal!

Can you give us an idea of what Injectors are offered from the 370s up in honed and EDM, there makers,HP and average prices? (without steping on anyones toes) I know I'm not the only one wondering about this.

Thanks Jim you've been a great help
