I had them on my 01, 4x1of2, with a couple of mods. I had already installed a leveling kit in the front, with longer shocks. I had to put in 1/4" wheel spacers in the front, to help with the tire rub at full steer. I also had to put a screw in the wheel well liner, to pull it away from the tire at full steer. I then when to the dealership, and had them change the abs ping rate to 601, to calibrate the speedometer. 120k mile later when we traded in the 01, because the VP had failed, it still had the 315's on it. You will either have to put the spare tire in the bed, or find another place for it. There was not enough room under the bed, for the spare.

This truck has an actual lift on it. Don't know how much, but it is replacement sprigs in front and look like add a leaf in rear. The ones on it now are on aftermarket rim that sit out instead of in. Going back to factory rims, and since they sit in, I am wondering if i will have any issues. Thanks for the great info!!!!

I had the factory aluminum wheels on mine. You should be alright with the OEM wheels, just either work with the fender liner, or remember to not hard steer. Otherwise, they will rub. I got a set of 6, at no cost. I stopped at the tire shop to get my 285's rotated, and a guy driving a ferd dually was getting new 315s. I asked him about the old ones, which still had 1/4 tread left, and he told the tire shop he wanted the old ones back. Then, he loaded them in the bed of my truck. Once I made them work, I stuck with that size.

You should be just fine. It's not recommended, but several people I know (myself included) have them on factory dually rims, which I'm pretty sure are 6" wide.

They are prob. saying that because of sidewall buldge...those wheels are 7" inside width and 8" lip to lip...a 315 75 is 12.5 inches side wall to side wall

The sidewall is gonna have to support more of the tread because the width is much more narrow then what is suggested to be used with that tire...

Keep them inflated to the proper pressure, to help with the buldge...and you should be good to go.

I have the same problem you have right now...my wheels are 16x10 with a rediculous offset and back spacing...they stick out WAY to far for my taste...but the previous owner liked the look...I purchased the truck with 315x75x16 toyo MT with 85% tread and there was no way I was gonna throw away 1500 dollars of rubber just because of the look...

45000 miles later I purchsed a new set of wheels...17x9 with the correct backspacing and offset and am running the same tire...PERFECT!!!!!!!! is all I can say...

Tire sits just right only sticking out about 1/2 inch beyond the fender line and I have NO full lock issues....

If anyone is wondering....4.5 Inch Lift.

17x9 5" backspacing 0 offset....

You will be fine. I have had 315's on my stock rims and on moto metal rims. Look in my picture gallary and you will see what they look like.
No rubbing whatsoever
