3 questions i gotta get answered (pusher, smarty, ez)

ok first off, i have my smarty on sw#5 stacked with my ez? they're both timing boxes aren't they? and sw5 has added timing, so will this clash? i have it all set this way right now and it seems fine, runs good and all.

and also, what the heck is a pusher pump? i searched but not a deffinate answer. it's not what i have is it? (warlbro)

A pusher pump is an auxilary fuel pump you would put between your stock lift pump and the tank to help "push " the fuel to your stocker, I think I may be wrong though lol. Some kits/systems do away with the stocker completely, those are usually the FASS and AirDog type systems...

ya that's what mine does, it got rid of my stock lp all together. so that's why i was wondering if i technically have a pusher and some folks just call it different things

A Walbro is technically a pusher pump and can be used in tandem but is best used solo...

I do not know the answer to your question about stacking EZ with SW5, but I do know that most would recommend against doing it.

I don't think that the VP44 timing can physically be advanced past a mechanical limitation of the pump itself. In that regard, you are probably OK. But you should do a search about piston damage that was a direct result of excessive timing combined with high EGT's. The pictures are gruesome. So at least you will have some idea of what you might be getting into.

From the stand point of Hp you probably get little gain over just running an even numbered SW and the EZ. -OR- Just running SW5 with out the EZ at all.
