Angry 2WD leveling Kit

I have a 2001 2500 Quad Cab 2WD. We all know about the
"nose down" stance of these trucks. I ordered the Daystar coil
spring spacers from Performancelifts.com (2.5") Now the problem.
I called around the Sacramento area to have them installed and every shop says they won't work. That it is too much lift,it
doesn't have enough adjustment for alignment and I would need
aftermarket upper control arms (that don't exist). Has anyone actually installed 2.5" spacers ? I pull a camping trailer and want the truck to track right and wear tires correctly. Also if you have done this what is the tallest tire you can run without interference.
Lastly can anyone reccomend a shop in the Saramento area. Thanks.

This may not be what you want to hear, but the spacers will put too much strain on the upper ball joint, and will give you a nose up attitude.

Depending on your rear spring package either pull the spacer block from the rear spring where it meets the axle (easiest if it works for your springs), or pull the last leaf on the bottom that works like an overload (this requires new centerbolts), and then cut off the excess spring shackles to keep them from snagging things. Then, install a set of Firestone RideRites, it corrects the snarf position (nose down) permanently, and allows you to adjust the back end for the weight of your trailer.

The truck will ride like a luxury car when empty and then you just add air for a heavy load.

The strain problem on the upper ball joint your talkin about, that isn't a problem I will have on my 4x4? Or is it just because Dieselcamper has a 2wd?

2.5" is WAY too much on a Stock truck anyway! Even with 2" in the back, it still is nose up!

1.5-1.75" is all you need! I also had a hard time finding shocks for that much.

I'll see if I can get some pics of my rig this evening. See sig for lift.
