I dont have an o1 sport or any pictures to show but i threw 285s on my truck and it made a worlf of diff in apearance.....it looks like a truck , no problems clearing or anything by far they fill out the wheel wells a little more than your average half ton w 265s i guess

It will throw off your digital mpg so you think your getting less but everyone i knew who did the math did the same or a little better than stock my gauge reads 18 mpg and my speedo is about 4 off so i figure im around 19 20 like i was before the tires id say do it you wont be disapointed

Take a look in my photo album at the pics of my truck. 01 Sport with the 285's. Planning on getting a leveling kit here soon. No problems with rubbing and it sure enhanced the look of the truck. Had to recalibrate the speedo. I was going to leave it but it bothered me everytime I looked down to see how fast I was doing and I knew it was out. The dealership calibrated it.

How much does a recalibration cost from the *******? I have just been dealing with mine being off but it would be nice to have it exact again.

The *********** charged $40.00CAD for the recalibration. If you know someone with a Smarty I heard you can recalibrate with that unit as well.

I run 285/75 R16 on my truck. They rub a bit on my running boards on hard turns. The smarty fixes the speedo calibration. I didn't find the speedo to be to far off. I think after I burn these off I'm gonna try the 315's. Of course I need a lift for the front but it should look cool. I can send you pics of a 02 sport with neat aftermarket wheel and 285's.

This is my truck with 285s. It's not a sport but you can see that the tires fit great on it.

You can see a '00 black sport longbed with 285/75 BFG AT's in my gallery as well. As said above - no clearance issues and look MUCH better.

As to the calibration - not sure about the '01, but the '00 trucks can ONLY select between the 245 and 265 options and the 3.55 and 4.11 gear options. My truck was already set up for the 265's. Using good old side of the road radars displays, I figure I am off by less than 2 MPH at highway speed. My truck will read 65 and the roadside display will show 67.

i had them on my 01 QC sport until i installed the Kore recon---then i had to move up to 315/75/16 just to fill the wells a little more----no rubbing when i was stock and 285.Now with the new mods i get a bit of rubbing on the mud flaps because of the factory molded running boards---but no rubbing on the DT Profab control arms.

I ran 285's for just under 2 years on mine.. No issues with fitting, but on stock wheels they wear awkward due to being too large for the wheel.

Not a single issue with rubbing.

The truck above has the stock steel wheels, with the stock aluminum 16x8 there is no issue with wheel fit.
