Re:24valve fuel line and pump upgrade
MOSTWANTED:
Both my son (banshee) and I have the "Product Engineering"
4200 "Pusher" Pump on our trucks complete with the -8
lines, fuel pickup, dual relays, etc. I am very happy with
mine, and so far, so good on it being dependable. I have
almost 6,000 miles on the pump/system already. "Scotty"
already posted about the problems he had with this same
pump and a few other members have had some trouble too,
but it is my understanding that Product Engineering is
working hard to alleviate these problems. Both my son
and I have our trucks pretty "hopped up" and my fuel
pressure NEVER drops below 16 lbs. even under hard
"Wide Open Throttle" (WOT) conditions!!
As the other members pointed out, you can purchase
the Holley Black or Blue Pumps or the Mallory and or
Carter models, but those too have had problems!
It is my understanding that some of the vendors are
now selling the "Fuel Preporator Fuel Pump/Filter" that
I believe was pioneered by a guy named Brad Eckstam
for our Dodge Diesels. But don't quote me on that!
Anyway, hope this has helped you out some.
