23 psi on 24V but no codes or de-fueling?
I installed a Sport Comp 35 psi gauge this afternoon and took the truck for a spin. It will make 23 psi in 4th if I hold it to the floor at the upper rpm range.
A buddy said the gauge is wrong or I have a boost fooler because it should de-fuel like my 99. I don't remember the specifics when we first installed the 275's on my 99 but he remembers it laying down quick after 21 psi +/- and setting a code...he's about 10 years younger which accounts for my lack of memory.
My 01 just seems to pull right up to max boost with no apparent change in performance.
Cruising at 55 in 4'th it's about 3-4 psi.
I checked the MAP sensor and the factory plug is in place with nothing inline with it and I checked for codes with key-on key-off method but nothing registers.
Bad gauge, confused truck???
