Last night I installed the 181dvs on my truck that has the 160 pump on the ride home I could only hit 30psi. so today I checked all the boot with soap and water. Then I find it its a bolt for a bracket that holds the injector lines. So I put the bolt back in test drive it and I only hit 34 Then it drops off to 32 or so. Before changin the DVs I was Hitting 38 to 40 no problem and it would stay there. Any one else installed the 181s and had this happen? Now the bottom end of the 181s is there little more smoke but non on the top end

Did you check all boots for leaks? Also the bolts that hold down the intake horn are a common source for leaks. I use a little bit of RTV on them when I put it back together.

 

Yea i checked them all but now im back down to 32psi Instead of the 34 it must be a small leak that progessivly getting bigger. Are you talkin bout using RTV on the bolts themselves or around the horn and grid heater?
