If the pump was in good shape that would be fine, it would also be better if it already had the bolt on tricks done. This is how I got my race pump, had a 180 with a custom plate, 191's and 4K's and wanted the race pump, Piers then had a guy call up asking about a bigger pump than his stock 160 so the two of us did the swap....the only way I could have swung the deal. The best being a 215 pump but those are really hard to find.....totally different pumps inside than any of the others.

98 auto is 180 pump

The only 215's were 96-98 12 valve with 5 spd.

Did Dodge de-tune the pumps on the auto's for 96-98? They must have, same pump lower horsepower, but how? Simple tweaking? I am looking for an 96-98 auto, I realize they are only 180hp, but a guy should be able to crank em up to 215hp and still be within stock settings?
