12V injector install

Just got my 370's with the install kit and there are some rubber boots or what look like rubber boots in the install kit. What are they for?

There not used in the Dodge /cummins 12V application. If its the DIAPCO install kit, be wary of the horseshoe washers for the return line, I had a problem with the holes being too big for the return line banjo bolts and had to reuse the original ones, FYI

370 injectors

txwelder I installed some 215 injectors and there was a couple of different sets of washers that go under the injectors. I first installed the thicker washers. Truck did not seem as responce or start as good. I pmed a guy and he told me to use the thin washers. I have 17.5 deg. timing in the 95 and by installing the thin washers I lowered the injectors a little and got the fuel into the bowl of the piston better than it was with the thicker washers. That is what I was told. The 215 injectors and the timing give me 20 plus miles per gallon.
Hope a little of this helps you some Jim

Well thanks for the info about the washers. What gears are you running getting 20mpg and at what speed/RPM?

I did use the thin washers and got the timing set to 18*. The 3kGSK and the AFC spring kit made this truck into something I could only have dreamed of. Cant believe how much $500 could do to wake this truck up. Thanks for all the input from everyone!

Where is the best place to get an injector installation kit, and how much do they run? I will be needing one soon.

3.54 gears and a automatic. I drive 70 or close to that. I dont wont to drive 60 unless I am pulling a trailer in third gear lockup. Very little city mostly highway, good luck Jim

I know if you buy injectors from Piers, the install kit comes with the package.
