12V Injector Advice
12V Injector Advice
Looking for more power and performance for towing my 24' enclosed race car trailer.
Been looking at the below DDP injectors.
Of these two injectors which would be best for performance gain and towing with minimal smoke not having to drive by EGT's?
- 94-98 Dodge Ram 75 Horsepower injectors
- 94-98 Dodge Ram 90 Horsepower injectors
Any comments or suggestions on these injectors or others would be appreciated.
Thanks

Do you also plan a turbo upgrade? I ask because on stock injectors, I can far exceed the stock turbo and I don't see any turbo upgrades in your sig. I am running a hybrid right now with stock injectors and still need more turbo if I want to push the plate any further forward, which I still have plenty of room to do.
better injectors can be had for a lower price. My personal experience was with a set of ddp comp's. 16.5* timing they were out of the bowl...155* spary pattern. If interested pm me and I'll give you a site to some great injectors for a fair price. and they are in Arizona as well.
I run the DDP2s the 75 hp ones as that is what Ross at DDp recommended. He said it would be the best for towing, and EGTs would be controllable. To me they are great and also made about a 2 mpg increase after installing the excitement wears off of the extra power
call me a liar if you want, internet stuff don't bother me, but I'm telling you I've seen it myself on my truck, and have heard of others. And have heard the thoughts of guys who have been doing injection systems work for years and Know what their opinion is of these injectors. From what I've been told, pull the tips sometime and run the part numbers, you'l see what they start as. and it's not a standard 145* spray.

can't see it being something wrong when all 6 were out..I mean don't get me wrong they did run well, all I'm saying is for the price there are better to be had. also your sig shows you have a 24 valve? pretty shure the origanl poster was asking about 12 valve injectors.
yes and i know he was talking about a 12 valve, and i dunno about your injectors all i can say is i have run mine for 5,000 miles and when i pulled the head the pistons looked great so who knows, i wasnt trying to call you a liar i was just trying to say that my injectors have done great.
F1 are the best injector and i think DDP is right there with them but hey everyone thinks diffrently

Everyone has their opinion about DDP as well as the 155* spray angle. The 145* angle is tighter and less efficient so its six in one hand and a half dozen in the other. I have never had a problem with mine or anyone else that I know personally. If you have enough air on the top end, ddp4's are very streetable. Ive heard anything below 19* keeps the spray in the bowl with the 155* angle. 16.5 sounds a little low but there are alot of variables in setting static timing: pop off pressure, how you find tdc, gear lash and even user error. I know my timing is somewhere between 18 and 19 and it runs great. Stay away from bigger delivery valves, they add sloppy, hot power.
If you are stuck between two sizes, get the bigger ones. You can always cut back the fuel with the fuel plate, but you can never add more. I thought DDP4's would be hot and smokey but it doesnt smoke unless you purposefully mash it without the turbos lit. I actually ran DDP4's on my hx35 for a little bit before I built my twins and it ran fine, smoked when the little guy ran out of air but thats it.

I have had DDP3's for a few years and they are a good injector. I don't have any idle haze that is had with most 370 derivative injectors. That being said, the F1 370's are a great injector as well with very controllable smoke.
