Well I had some free time the other day, So I thought I would check out the internals of my pump. I knew something had been done by a PO because all the safety wires were missing and the breakoff screw was long gone.

It never dawned on me that my truck did run pretty good for a STOCK truck. pulled the afc and low and behold there was a 100 plate looking back at me. Further investigation revelead a modified boost elbow. The starwheel has almost no pressure on the spring.

The 100 plate was all the way forward as was the AFC. I bumped everything back to the middle, Because get this I have NO GAUGES. Hopefully the temps havent been too high over the last year LOL. It is really scary not knowing what the EGTS are so gauges will be coming in the very near future.

Oh and while I had the plate out I cleaned it up some ( the profile was rough and had a unique ramp profile). The surface was rough also, so I shined it up some too.

But know I know why the old 95 with a 175 pump ran quite abit better than comparable trucks.
