100 plate ?
The arm needs to hit it slightly above the lower edge and travel upwards on the face of the plate smoothly with the least amount of resistance possible. That is why many people (including myself) polish the face of the plate as much as possible, to almost a mirror like finish. My .02
Plenty of people sell #10 plates (e-bay, TST, PDR, BD), and #100 is just a #10 with the top end defueling grinded out. It really doesn't take very long to grind it out and polish it, the whole process can be down in about an hour or so when modifying the stock plate.
