#10 plate location?

My TST #10 power kit came in, haven't installed yet. I read the instructions, watched the video, and started wondering. From what I understand the #10 plate is supposed to be installed in the stock position, and the AFC housing slid all the way forward. Does this sound right? And also with this set up, will I be able to feel a difference in power between this new setting and the way it is now, wich is the stock plate all the way forward,AFC housing about 3/4 forward, and wastegate disabled. Will I want to use the adjustable elbow that came with it, or keep it blocked off? Thanks Marv.

TST plates are designed to be in the stock location but you can slide them fore or aft depending on how much your tranny can take or how much you want watch your pyro.
I would venture to say that just by sliding you can duplicate the next next hotter and colder TST plate with just the #10.
My feeling why TST says to use the stock position is simply because they didn't want to complicate the install with the governor arm adjustment, which you will have to at least check if you slide the plate in either direction.

Try it with the wastegate disabled and see if you are over boosting, 36psi max.
Slide the afc full forward and you will definitely feel the difference over what you have now.

10 plate on my future truck is slid full forward. With the DTT valvebody the tranny handles it fine and EGT's aren't much of a problem at all.

Thanks for the info Bill, you too Willy91, I put the kit in just like the instructions said this afternoon, and there is a big difference. It runs great! With the TST elbow, It will boost 32 lbs. 28 or 29 before. Now I will mess with the star wheel, and see if I can get rid of some of that extra smoke without losing any power. You guys were right, this bombing may become addictive.
