when I run the smarty doesn't matter what sw setting, if I get in it hard with the foot I will produce 0602 and a companion code. with smarty off the truck and run hard with just the TST I never get this code.... is it normal to get with smarty? been getting this for along time time to finally ask. I checked and cleaned all connections with dielectric grease. and pcm connection by the starter but still getting this code

P0602 is a checksum error code, you must have an old version of software because it was resolved in the newer programs. The good news is that it hurts nothing, causes no problems, it's just annoying.
EDIT: Just noticed 2nd gen, what I stated was true for 3rd gen software, have no idea about the 2nd gen.

 

Its normal with any downloader.

 

okay thanks I do have the latest software from smarty I thought the check serum error was a code worded for 3rd gens. I have something different on wording with my smarty manual...

and I believe the 3rd gen years were 05-07 for the smarty update.

602 and 1693 are known as "the smarty codes". Normal thing.

 

not knocking smarty but I do wish this info would be posted on smarty's website under known facts....
