03+ Track Bar Conversion

03+ Track Bar Conversion
After thinking my alignment was off, I came to find that my track bar and the entire right tierod is worn. First thing I did was look around for the cheapest awy to do it. Lukes Link kit, and cheap autozone tierods. Then I stopped and decided I'd like this to last and be better than stock. Seems like the 03+ Track Bar conversion is a good way to go. Couple questions though.
How does it work with 2" Leveling kits?
How often have you guys had to replace the 03+ track bars?
Thanks.

whem you do it spend the extra money and get the adjustable one then you can center the front axel your self and get it perfect. im pretty sure you can replace the boshings and you wont have to replace the whole bar when it wears out.

I was wondering about this Thuren bar. Since it will allow for a leveling kit, and everyone says its very strong. I'm sure I'll get some opinions on it if its the better route.
Lukes Link seems to be a nice low price alternative though...man its rough just randomly dropping $400 on the front end. I was going to put that money towards tranny mods

Theres nothing wrong with the lukes link, but if you have or plan on getting a leveling kit, its gonna throw your axle off center slightly. Mine was off about an inch to the driver side which as about as far as you wanna go. I went with the adjustable 3rd gen. bar, and yes the bushings are replaceable. Looking back, if I had known about it before I bought mine, I would have gone with the Thuren bar. Its just as strong if not stronger, and its much cheaper....no conversion bracket necessary. Might wanna invest in a DSS as well so your steering box lasts a lot longer, and will help take away any "wondering" in your steering.

Yeah I'm really looking into the DSS. Sounds like a good upgrade. I have a Luke's Link right now. As I had thought, it's a great fix but I'm not sure if it's very good for lifted trucks.

I have the DSS and Solid steel 3rd gen track bar and Top Gunz 2" spacers and it drives as good or better than my brothers 07. Dont just go for the cheepest. Its worth every $0.01. The Thuren bar looks good but I like what I have realy well. have had it for about 50k and now probs, still like new.

Our sector shaft stabilizer comes with integral sway bar drop blocks, and our adjustable 3rd Gen trackbar bushings work with lifts from 0-8"

Due to budget restrictions and a constant need of transmission preparr-ed-ness I'm going for the Lukes Link and some new passenger tie rods. But I am thinking of doing a 4.5" in the future, so this will give me time to save up. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
The extra money saved will be put toward trans mods, probably a Transgo and Suncoast/Goerend Converter, which I'll review.
