$5000.00 Question of the Day?

Ok lets say you have the truck in sig. and have 5k to spend on it, and the #1 thing is twins, what would you go with?, any other add ons?, or take offs from the sig. Let me know honest opinions, i'm gettin short here in the sand box and i'm gettin my shopping list together for Big Red! My buddy dodgezilla04 has been helping me alot, and i want to say thanks Chris! Stuck over here, internet marginal at best.. yea it sucks!! So let me know what ya think, i do a little towing in the summer, but i want the best power for the buck. .might be able to slip another grand in there if i had too Lookin forward to your answers!! So you are stacking the Edge EZ, the Smarty AND the TST PM3? Your sig includes them all.

I would definitely go with bigger injectors (Mach 4's?) with just one box, maybe the TST PM3 if you like it. Or a new Quadzilla. You have good fuel and good exhaust it looks like so twins may be a good next step.

Keep up the great work in the sandbox and thanks for what you do! BTW, I lived in Great Falls 9 years... where in MT you from?

if your number one thing is twins, its going to take your "5 grand and the extra thousand you can slip in" to get them and get your head ready for them

looks like you can throw a s400 under your 62 and get away with it. then you'll need bigger injectors which will smoke your clutch, so you'll have to go fe or double disk. So your going to need 6-8k to get whatcha need

I was going to say the same thing about clutch for sure! Depending on which one your probably looking at about $1500 for that. Different injectors, not sure how big i would go since your towing and not sure on what turbo setup you want to go with.. many options

You could probably get Rip's kit with the S400 for $2500 plus bigger injectors, $800-$1k, then clutch of your choice and studs, o-rings for head. These trucks eat money with a quickness!

yes russ stacks all 3 modules.
we are looking hard at twins. but he's already paid for the sps62/14. cannot use it in a twins setup, so we'd have to sell it.

he lives(when he's not in iraq) in great falls. just down from the AF base.

How good is you cylinder head? Check for cracks. If you have cracks, twins would be a waste of $$$.

his is the sps62, not a ps62, so going with an s400 under it will not work well.

he's running a con OFE, so the clutch should be good for awhile.

Ok theres some good info here.. so i'm seeing twin kits around 3600 for the bd's.. and as chris said..this is from BD, II, i can NOT use the SPS 62 in a twins setup for what im doing.. towing.. 4500 ft elevation..soooo..and then theres the stock turbo and putting a kit together.. then put some money into and intake?? new intercooler?? or are those things needed for a daily driver?? And yes i am stacking all three of the boxes in my sig. would it be better to dump them and get the adrenaline?? or something else..what about this head gasket i was reading about.?? Cant remember the #'s on it..but not susposed to have to oring the head?? Keep talkin to me guys..i'm listening.. thanks again for all the info... and thanks for supporting the troops!! Capn

I have a set of bd twins that I have been trying to sell (word of mouth) I don't think I am asking a crazy amount of coin for them. Pm me and I can give more details. Or you may call (502) 773-1187. They are on my 3rd gen now and work great for towing or daily driving. I just got a hankerin to go back to a single. Never run a big single, always wanted to try it out?

You can use the SPS62 in a twins setup. If you are only looking for a tow rig, go with a K31 and Mach 4's. If you want more and can control your right foot, go with mach 6's, and an 83mm turbine S400 with a 1.1 exhaust housing and a 75mm comp.

many calls to industrial. at 4500 feet elevation, an sps62 will not spool well enough to keep his temps in check. you can call them and ask brent the same question. also talked to rip(source auto) and he said the same thing. a PS will work, but the SPS will not.

if the sps would work, II would make a twins kit with it.

when i went to twins, i also had the sps62, and i spent a month asking vendors and manufactures about towing with the sps62 in a twin setup, they ALL said, It would work, but your temps would be very high unless you kept your foot buried in it all the time.
