Smile Wyoming spring pic

Started this yesterday afternoon and it's still going strong this morning. Measured at 5.5" on the deck rail. This moisture is really needed.

It's getting worse. Chain law is now from exit 1 to exit 66 on I-80. This water will really help in the short term, just need more throughout the summer.

My wife lived in Evanston while growing up and has told me about getting bundled up to go out to watch fireworks on the fourth of July.

Hopefully it melts in my direction!

I guess this good weather is over. The sun is brighter now but still have light snow. Just measured the snow on the deck rail- 7.5". Need to shovel the driveway but I refuse to do that in May and it will melt rather quickly if the clouds break up.

Man am I glad we got out dune trip in when we did. We where just out there a week ago in Rock Springs doing some dune riding and even thoug we drove threw snow in the middle of the state it was buitifull the entire time we where there. It would have REALY sucked to be caught in that weather trying to enjoy duning and camping.

I'm just over the mountain from Evanston, on the Utah side. Mostly rain and windy over here. Good news to have snow over there though. I hear the snow pack for the Upper weber river basin is only at 30% for the year. I hope we get some more moisture, or it will be a long, dry summer. Our irrigation water turns are starting out at half time per share right out of the gate this year.

And you didn't stop by ............ glad you had fun.

To Everyone: If you are traveling down I-80 past Rock Springs,Wyoming stop off exit 103 and go to the college. Pull right up to the front doors and go inside to the information desk and tell the lady you want to see G-1. I am there M-F 6:30 am to 4 pm.

Well the snow is up to 12" on the deck, it's only 5" on the ground.

That's nice .... my neighbor has been talking about moving to Wyoming and we don't want them to leave. Nothing like leaving 85* and green pastures to play in the snow .... in May .

Although Wyoming has some beautiful scenery.
