Yes, as the blending is eliminated, and the demand for heating oil is reduced the price should go down. It dropped dramatically last year here in New England, but there's a whole different set of circumstances this spring. BTW, it's $2.049 at major retailers in Massachusetts.

Paying less? It's 2.09 today in NW Washington. As a sidebar, I love to hear the national news talking heads say the average price of fuel, cuz that was what it was two weeks ago. Where do they get the numbers? Certainly not the left coast.

Re:winter blend vs. #2 summer

Just saw a tv news article about a station in San Diego (El Cajon, I think, advertising premuim at 4.29. <br><br>I just want to know why there's such a price variance across the nation. Taxes? Delivery expenses? or just simple GREED and lack of interest by the politicians to do something about it (wondering how many have special contributions from the oil industry, just for times like this?) None have stepped forward to deny it. Why have gasoline prices started to stabilize a little, but not diesel? <br><br>~Dave

NWDave,<br><br>you saw right, $4.29 per gallon. the theory is the owner jacked his prices up to show the city how screwed this price hike is. the real joke is some people were buying it before the realized what the price was :'(<br><br>i am now paying $1.93 in north san diego county. but regular where i buy has jumper to $2.03. 1st time diesel has been cheaper in months.<br><br>think i will start buying my fuel in tijuana
