Windows media player to itunes

How do I convert the songs? I thought it was as simple as dragging them over but I guess I was wrong.

In ITunes.....Go to FILE>IMPORT....Then select all the files you want....It will ask you if you want to convert the files...It will do its thing...May take a little while

How about going the other way? From itunes to windows?

Most likely won't do it, especially if the tune is from ITunes... They slap copyright protection into the files..

What I do is burn a CD, then rip it in Media Player....
